The standard 203 mm alternator can be directly
driven by many engines from 240 cc to 675 cc
or larger. It is rated for 2000 watts at low
cruise RPM. It can also be belt driven.

This alternator can be customized for different
power ratings, special mounting situations,
high temperature applications or multiple phase

Pancake brushless alternators have no slip rings.
They have only one moving part -- a sealed ball bearing
-- which can be eliminated if the engine or drive
shaft has a rigid mounting ring for the stator. They
are typically very powerful and reliable for their
size and weight.
Pancake alternators are the most common style of alternator
used in size or weight sensitive applications. They
are efficient to produce in volume, and can be easily
scaled larger and smaller. |
