Fuel Tanks - RotoMolded Tanks

Rotomolding is an efficient method for low volume production of fuel tanks. Fabricated of cross linked polyethylene, rotomolded tanks can be used with most fuels and many other chemicals. For additional chemical resistance, they can be fluorinated.

Rotomolding requires a low pressure mold. The tank's shape must be concave. Corners should have generous radii to help maintain wall thickness. It is practical to make tanks from less than 1 liter to 500 liters or more.

Baffles can be created using plates that can adjust as the tank shrinks during molding, or can be added after molding if a suitable access panel is provided. Mounting hardware can be molded in place, and the tanks are easily machined for fittings.
